I joined Plumstead Runners in 2024 as I was looking for a running group that was supportive, social and friendly. I am heavily involved in both parkrun and junior parkrun locally. I joined the committee as club secretary in 2025 and my role involves liaising with the members and England Athletics and ensuring we are meeting the club standards.

My friends introduced me to the club late 2022 and I've been a member and treasurer since. Unfortunately, due to injury I am currently walking and am happy to say our walking group is getting more popular. I've been running with the Club since 2005 and I can safely say it's been one of my better decisions! My responsibilities include: liaising with our Club secretary and England Athletics to process memberships. Responding to membership enquiries and administration of the Club's Facebook group. Updating the Club's website and I organise the Club's handicap races.

I joined Plumstead Runners in 2014 and loved the club so much that I went on to serve as a committee member for seven years. I enjoy leading runs and supporting members, and I find it especially rewarding to see people grow in confidence and achieve their running goals.

I have been a Plum since 2009 and proud to be a member of The Friendly Club. As Lead Welfare officer it gives me a privilege to help create an inclusive atmosphere where all members feel part of the Plums family. My favourite running is on the trails as well as competing in the KFL cross country races and being a regular at Parkrun. I have also recently taken on some ultramarathons to see what happens if you just keep running. Answer is you get slower but get to eat crisps and cake!

I joined Plumstead Runners in 2022 after moving to the area in search of new routes and even better company. I’m happy to say I found both! As one of the club’s Welfare Officers, I ensure everyone feels supported and included. Whether you’re a brand new member or a club veteran, I’m always up for a chat. While I’ve tackled two marathons, the half marathon is my absolute sweet spot.

I joined Plumstead Runners four years ago with my husband, fully intending to just go for a few runs. Somehow, this escalated and I'm now the Social Secretary.
We're known as a friendly club, so my role is to make sure the social side is just as strong as the running. Socials that start with drinking and where running is optional. Plumstead Runners is all about welcoming everyone, having a laugh, and reminding ourselves why we joined in the first place 🍻🍷🏃♂️🏃♀️
